Learning in the pre-primary years is done through a child-centric approach with an equal emphasis on learning by doing. Children are actively involved in various activities through a high degree of participation, collaboration and production.
The two-year pre-primary programme aims at developing confident and independent individuals. The curriculum is inquiry-based and activity-based to emphasise the development of essential skills like problem solving, critical thinking, self-awareness, creativity, communication and leadership.
The unique and innovative curriculum also aims at building proficiency in reading skills, developing avid readers and enhancing creative expression, verbally and in writing. The educators in the classroom create a happy and lively environment to foster healthy social and emotional development.
We aim to foster meaningful learning experiences by using multiple teaching tools and strategies and by building positive, supportive relationships with children, through environments that offer a variety of stimulating learning experiences.
At the primary stage (Classes I and II), the focus is on creating a strong foundation in essential academic skills while fostering emotional, social, and physical growth of the students. Our goal is to instil a lifelong love for learning and to prepare students to develop strong literary skills, a solid understanding of mathematical concepts, and encourage scientific curiosity through understanding of the natural world by observation and experimentation. We aim at imbibing core values and teaching them practical life skills. We utilise experiential learning and hands-on experiences to make education engaging and enjoyable.
In classes III-V, our aim is to build upon the foundational skills acquired in earlier years and to foster a deeper understanding and mastery of core academic subjects. We strive to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that supports the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each student. Our goal is to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for lifelong learning and responsible citizenship through NEP's avant-garde framework. Committed to providing the learners with a stimulating learning platform and planting the seeds of curiosity, we aim to instil qualities of self-esteem and critical thinking skills that ensure holistic child development, enabling them to become lifelong learners.
Students are taught to be life-long learners through activities that boost independent thinking, critical reading, writing, and analytical skills. The activities in all subjects are designed to enhance the interest of students in the subject besides linking the learning with their daily life to keep it relevant to them.
Regular internal assessments are done based on subject enrichment activities, project-based activities, portfolio, and multiple assessment. The examinations are conducted as per the CBSE guidelines.
Multiple assessments and subject enrichment activities are emphasised through speaking and listening skills, practical laboratory work, Math lab activities, and many more as per the demands of the curriculum.
In addition to scholastic areas, co-scholastic areas like work education, visual & performing arts, health and physical education, and social and emotional skills are also covered. Students are trained for various scholarship examinations and subject Olympiads so that they develop the competitive edge in the rapidly changing world.
The examinations are conducted as per the CBSE guidelines.
